About Cat Stay Guide

Search for cat boarding and most of what comes back is dog kennels, hourly pet sitters, or lists that don't say whether a place even takes cats. The details cat owners decide on, such as whether there are dogs in the building, whether staff can give insulin, and what a night costs, are buried on each business's website if they're published at all.

Cat Stay Guide answers those questions for each place we list. We read the place's own website for cat boarding, whether it's cats-only or has a separate cat area, whether a vet is on site, medication and insulin care, webcams, overnight staff and published nightly prices. Places whose websites don't mention boarding cats aren't listed, and when a website doesn't say something we leave it blank rather than guess.

We're an independent directory. Places don't pay to be listed, and what we report comes from their own websites. If you run a boarding business and something is out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.

Cat Stay Guide currently lists 863 cat boarding places in 34 states. Details come from each place's own website, and each listing shows when it was last checked.
